4. AUTHOR AGREEMENT & PUBLISHING CONTRACT TERMS

Effective Date: 1 January 2026

This section outlines the standard terms that govern the relationship between authors and Fraternity Quest Publishers. A formal contract will be provided upon acceptance of your manuscript.

4.1 Rights Granted to Publisher

Non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, and sell the work in print and digital formats
Right to convert the manuscript to EPUB, PDF, MOBI, and other formats
Right to distribute through agreed platforms (Amazon KDP, Flipkart, Kobo, Apple Books, etc.)
Right to create and use cover art and marketing materials for the work
Rights are granted for the territory and duration specified in the individual contract

4.2 Author Warranties

The author warrants that:

The work is original and does not infringe on any third-party copyright
The work does not contain defamatory, obscene, or unlawful content
The author has full authority to grant the rights specified
The work has not been previously published in the same form without disclosure

4.3 Royalties

Print books: 10-15% of net sales revenue (as specified in individual contract)
eBooks: 20-35% of net sales revenue
Royalty statements issued quarterly
Payments made within 30 days of each quarter end

4.4 Author Copies

Author receives 5 complimentary print copies upon publication
Additional author copies available at cost price plus shipping

4.5 Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with 90 days written notice. Upon termination, the publisher shall cease all sales and return rights to the author within 60 days.
